When I first had a girlfriend at 16 my parents said, to my face, ‘we thought you were gay’.
That was 1987. So you know it wasn’t said politely.

However, I’d caution you against even fanciful ideas of how vengeance might taste. They’re privileged and therefore ignorant.
Rise above. Be proud of the insight you bring to the world having traversed it as a ‘man’ AND a woman. There’s power in that.
So many people, male and female, now trust me because I can speak both their languages. Venusian and Martian, as I like to joke.
