Yes, Yes it is. I've had men hit on me plenty but when I answer their advances with my currently unaltered voice things very often change.
Often I'll get called 'faggot' which is ironic since I'm a lesbian. And it doesn't even make sense. If I were trying to attract a gay man, dressing as a woman doesn't seem a clever way to do so.
So I get a lot of homophobia. But homophobia is merely repackaged misogyny. Underlining men's homophobia is a rejection and fear of a gay man's percieved feminine qualities.
It's really that simple.
